Eiréné: (n) the tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and content with its earthly lot, of whatsoever sort that is
I wanted to put myself in my friend, Sare's shoes because she's been having a really hard time and not getting very much sleep: so I ended up writing, recording, and all that jazz for seven songs over the course of 8+ hours, only stopping to eat, trying to put myself in her shoes and empathizing with her exhaustion (by no means was my experience as worse as hers), and transferring that into aural form: the songs to me represent or give a sense of peace and sleep, to kind of simulate that rest. I was really inspired by Lowercase Noises's "Simple Sounds in Simple Places," where most of it is improvised and based off feeling, so I tried to do as many one-takes as possible and not go off theory, but more off feeling and emotion. Hope you enjoy this kind of new thing :)
For Sare: the Lord will always watch over you in your time of need and of peace. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is always freedom.
For any people who have trouble falling asleep, for any people who need a quiet place of repose, may this music soothe your weary souls.

Thank you Christ, for You have always been my peace in my trying times and my strength for every day.
